Accessibility Highlights 2025

We are committed to making Vogrie Pogrie as inclusive and accessible as possible. Each year, we evolve, learn, and improve. Below you’ll find information about accessibility for 2025.

Forest Welcome Hub

If you have access needs, come here first! The Forest Welcome Hub can be found in the accessible and staff car park (drive straight on past the main car park and turn right when you see the sign!)

At the Hub you’ll find:

  • Friendly access team & radio point

  • Hot drinks & warmth

  • Blankets

  • Earplugs

  • Sensory activities

  • Accessible toilet

  • Contact info for buggies and Beach Wheelchairs

Getting Around the Site

  • Accessible Golf Buggies: Two are available to help with transport. Collect the phone number from the Hub to call a buggy from anywhere on site.

  • Paths & Facilities: Vogrie has both paved paths and natural woodland areas. Photos of pathways and gradients coming soon!

Toilets

  • Permanent accessible toilets in the park.

  • Additional accessible portaloos across the site.

  • Accessoloo with hoist available Sunday 12pm–8pm, near the Twisty Oak area.

Beach Wheelchairs

Thanks to Beach Wheelchairs, we have cross-terrain chairs available. More information below.

Quiet Spaces

  • Big Wildlife Forest Sensory Area

  • Friends Garden

  • Zen Dens: three decorated bell tents with cushions and blankets. There is a Zen Den in the following areas: Twisty Oak, Woodland and The Dip of Discovery.

BSL

We are working on improving our BSL offer for 2025. Updates will be posted here and available at the Hub.

Audio Describing

This year Juliana Capes will be offering an audio describing service across the weekend. Pre-booking recommended! Email vogriepogrieaccess@gmail.com. Alternatively, ask at the Hub.

Juliana Capes is an Edinburgh-based artist and experienced audio describer. She has worked for over twenty years across Scotland’s cultural sector, creating vivid, inclusive descriptions for exhibitions, performances and site-specific installations. Drawing on her background as a multidisciplinary artist, Juliana brings a poetic and audience-centred approach to audio description, combining clarity with atmosphere and emotional resonance. She has been lead artist on the National Galleries of Scotland Visual Impairment programme for 25 years.

CAMPERS WITH ADDITIONAL SUPPORT NEEDS

We aim to make all camping accessible and will do our best to accommodate individual needs.

  • All Campers are greeted by our camping team... This is a time to discuss any requirements you may have.

  • Our team will advise you on options on where is best for you to camp - i.e. near to toilets, nearer the Woodland Stage, near to paths, in a quieter spot etc.

  • Although cars are not permitted in the camping field, there are areas where it is possible to camp next to your vehicle

  • For those who require quiet time, please note the nearest stage to the campsite goes quiet at 10pm as things move to the Twisty Oak deeper in the Woodland.

  • If you are a wheelchair user, you can reserve a cross-terrain wheelchair for the duration of your stay, thanks to the wonderful people at Beach Wheelchairs. To book, please email vogriepogrieaccess@gmail.com with the subject heading CAMPER!

  • We have two Accessible golf Buggies to help with on-site transport. Collect the buggy contact number from your campsite steward or at the Forest Welcome Hub so you can call one from anywhere. Or speak to anyone in Hi-Vis who can radio for you.

If you have any specific needs or concerns, please let us know in advance—we’ll always do our best to support you. vogriepogrieaccess@gmail.com

Vogrie Pogrie is a festival that evolves every year. We don’t get everything perfect, but we always listen, learn, and do our best to create a magical and accessible experience for all.

BEACH WHEELCHAIRS!!

For our visitors with additional mobility needs, we’re thrilled to announce a collaboration with Beach Wheelchairs for 2025, who are providing us with 2 adult cross-terrain wheelchairs, 1 child cross-terrain wheelchair and a walker with seat. Please see information sheets below. **There will be no hoist availability on site, so users will have to self-transfer or be transferred manually by carers.**

If you are interested in reserving one of these mobility aids for your visit to the festival, please contact us on vogriepogrieaccess@gmail.com
